As part of my project experimentation, I wanted to use the objects around me to focus on producing shapes and lines, that i technically cant produce myself or alter... Using various kitchen utensils, I wanted to analyse the contrast between the beautiful shapes made everyday in nature, and those that can be made as a result of man-made items. These included a fork, the end of a utensil to extract juice out of an orange, the spring-ball to come with a protein bottle and few other things. This was a good opportunity to also allow me to practice mixing more pastel tones from acrylic paint I had available. Quite honestly, I didnt like the sharpness of the lines and dots that came from printing with these utensils - some attempts were more successful than others, but none of them are really techniques ill be taking forward...

Steering away from the man-made materials, I wanted to attempt to replicate the details of nature by producing my own stencils. I began by thinking the outcomes as a result would be really effective, and potentially save time where being able to print the same image multiple times, however the outcomes were just messy and although somewhat intricate, just not producing the detail I was after.
