Where ill be including a variety of fruit across my project, i of course wanted to work with them physically. I considered simply photographing the fruits, focusing on size and arrangement, but i felt this would be too standard and expected. In the experimentations below, i have shaped, squashed, pressed and cut the different fruits. Ideally these experiments would be without the visible cling film, but i did have to cover the scanner to avoid a real mess. I was interested by these results, particularly of the star-shape strawberry and quashed collection of blackberries. I thought that crushing the fruits and having their juices show would make them more appealing and attractive, but in fact i now feel the opposite. Im not sold on these images, personally, and dont think ill be taking them further in this way.
Before completely disregarding the scans of the fruit, i did want to see how they could look upon a packaging format. Again i do like the appearance of the star shaped strawberry, and maybe arranging the fruit in this way would work a lot better than squashing them.
