Line Drawings Experimentation

To really keep the ideas in my mind flowing, I wanted to get them down on paper using a traditional but effective technique - single line drawings! Ive always loved single line drawings, as they make me work quickly and all at once - Im not given too much time to think about the outcome which is often where I end up getting lost....overthinking and eventually becoming stressed and too narrow minded. Below, with a black fine liner pen, I started by thinking of pretty much any flower that came to mind...My thought process clearly started pretty simply, as i seem to have focused on stems, leaves and petals.

From here I wanted to think about a specific flower and produce a series of line drawings this way! Above, I began by focusing on roses, and then to the right just leaves on a stem. Below I got onto line drawing lily flowers - I have always loved lilies for how they both look and smell, so was instantly inspired! The sketches below show a range, looking at large and small, portrait and landscape.

Whilst producing this series of sketches, I wanted to dedicate a minute to focusing on framing again. Im not sure at this stage what the final layout of my different outcomes will be, but I wanted to make sure I was always considering the ways in which I could fill out the whole 'page' / surface of the different faces on the cards, notebooks etc.
