Answering important questions to determine the direction I want to take my gift wrap range concluded that I want to target an older, more mature audience. The coronavirus pandemic has had an effect on my outlook on life, and I want to create a range that could reflect this. Now feeling grateful, appreciative, optimistic and excited, the pandemic finally seems to be coming to an end in spring - a season of growth and transformation.
Combining these feelings with the time of year, I began looking into holidays that aim to appreciate and raise awareness of yearly celebrations that may often go a miss. Holidays, aside from the most popular ones such as christmas, birthdays and easter, are often most acknowledged by adults and the people that are committed to celebrating days dedicated to their interests or hobbies - reasons to support a more defined and sensible colour palette.
National Flower Day - March 21st
- Over 400,000 species of flowers in existence
- Day for people to give or plant flowers
- Occurs near the beginning of spring
World Nature Conservation Day - July 28th - Acknowledges a healthy environment is the foundation for a stable and healthy society World Environment Day - June 5th - To encourage awareness and action for the protection of the environment National Plant a Flower Day - March 12th - Dedicated to the planting of flowers and looking forward to spring National Tree Day - July 31st Earth Day - April 22nd - To demonstrate support for environmental protection World Wildlife Day - March 3rd
