In preparation for our class critique, I have finished my campaign posters as far as i think ill need to, without text. I have spent a lot of time on the details of these posters, and ensuring I have included the main factors provided on the Orangutan Foundation brief, which are; showing how OF work with local people, to show how OF support growing the population of orangutans, and highlighting how OF work hard to replant trees and forests lost as a result of deforestation.

I was sure i wanted to include orangutans with their baby's, as this is a significant part of saving the orangutans and their population - I also wanted this to create to viewers and onlookers a sense of empathy and emotion.

An important part where designing my poster compilation was to include a dystopian element, as i have learnt that this is one of the most effective ways of ensuring climate / activist posters actually catches the peoples attention. From showing a happy, lively, bright and colourful orangutan with its baby in the first poster, to reflecting the disastrous effect of deforestation in the second, i aim to highlight the catastrophic contrast that is created everyday that deforestation brings to our wildlife.

The third and final poster was a chance for me to bring a lot of details together - reintroducing the vibrancy of the beautiful forests, an addition of one of the foundations wildlife resorts - to show people one way OF are helping, an OF staff working with local people and two happy orangutans by their side, grateful for the replanting of the trees in the background.

Of course i am anticipating feedback from my tutor Eleni and my peers, and will be happy to make any alterations that they feel would better my work. The main questions i will be waiting to ask are about what text i should add to the posters, as i feel the logos alone arent enough to explain what is happening within the posters. Should i include facts? Quotes? Statistics? and if so, where should i place these? within the posters? in a border round the outside?
