Developing the Back

Updated: May 12, 2021

Developing the back of the cocoa bars was a fairly straight forward process, as it was a case of needing to include specific information and arranging it appropriately, whilst being visually appealing.

From top to bottom, the packaging details the Huel logo, a general description for all three bars, the ingredients particular to each bar, nutritional information, the vegan and recyclable labels, contact us information and a barcode. Under the nutritional information, i have added some small but important information. Where the cocoa bars will be luxury size, i cannot and wouldnt want to advise consumers to eat the product in one sitting, like a regular smaller chocolate bar. The packaging details that each bar contains 4 servings, with approximately 103 calories per serving - i felt this was more than appropriate.

For these experiments, i only practiced with the Huel logo being horizontal and to the top of the bar, as this is exactly how Huel present the back of the packaging on their other products. As far as adding colour goes, i like the first example with the colour framing the bar, however im not sure this is too much added colour. I will decide on the back when i have refined the front packaging, and am sure i will have them the same / inline with each other.
