Extinction Rebellion - Climate change awareness posters
- Bright colours across all visuals - condensed colour palette - Variety in images within the images but clear constant theme and relevancy across all - Blacks and whites applied, creating and adding contrast - Famous XR hourglass with traditional hourglasses in backgrounds - highlighting the countdown of time left
- Either XR hourglass or 'Extinction Rebellion' logo - ownership
- A lot of death visuals to act as warnings - skulls and bones
- Bright visuals of trees, bees and butterflies to represent what will be ruined as a result of climate change
- Bold, short statements and questions
Transport for London Safety Posters - For passengers on buses and tubes across London
- Bold, in-your-face pinks, reds, purples and blues - condensed colour palette
- Large text used within / as part of the images - hard to ignore
- Addition of smaller text for further explanation of warnings
- Logos to the bottom of every image
- Proportions and perspectives used
- In contrast to ER posters, do not use warning visuals in the sense of showing potentially frightening outcomes as a result of not following instructions
- 'Please', shows care, need and importance of what is being said
- Contrast of white text
Lori Miller for Environmental Defence Fund - Climate change awareness posters
- A much darker, glum, emotional approach taken - Dull tones of red as only use of colour
- Showing the different animals effected to replicate / extend as smoke out of chimneys, makes us think, 'is this what we're doing to our animals?' - Added contrast of white text, again - Expressions and gestures of the animals reflects sorrow and helplessness - Logo/website used across all images
