"Dark chocolate is rich in minerals, such as iron, magnesium, and zinc. The cocoa in dark chocolate also contains antioxidants called flavonoids, which may provide several health benefits." - https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/dark-chocolate
It is widely known that dark chocolate is a healthier choice, opposed to milk chocolate, due to its reduced level of sugar - this is why I have decided that 2 out of the 3 chocolate bars will be dark vegan chocolate and just 1 vegan 'milk'. Dark chocolate isnt to everyones taste, so i want to ensure im certainly being inclusive and not ruling out a large portion of a customer base.
Addition of dried fruits to appropriate bar;
- Dark chocolate with blackberries and raspberries
- Milk chocolate with dried grapes / raisins
- Dark chocolate with cherries Dried fruits in chocolate is a personal favourite of mine, and where looking to produce a healthy alternative to the regular chocolate bar, fruits add sugar, but its natural! The addition of ingredients such as caramel or candies would of course be lovely, but that is a case of adding sugary, low-benefit products without consideration of the point behind these bars - to be an alternative to those living a healthier lifestyle, without wanting to cut out the sweet treats!
