As part of my research, I wanted to take a look at biophilia and biophilic design online - how it is uploaded, how popular it is and the variety of interior design options. Where looking to potentially produce an installation, it was good for me to analyse how high, how wide and how large people go where having large biophilic installations within their environments. The screenshots below are the results of what came up having searched the hashtag #biophilicdesign. As can be seen, biophilic design can be incorporated in an endless variety of sizes both large and small - from having a few plants spaced around a room, to having a whole wall spurting out growing leaves and plants. Colour is a major element that stands out to me where looking at the grid below - evidently, as nature is, the star colour is green, of all shades. Emphasising the beauty of these colours will be something i aim to replicate and focus on within the work i produce leading up to my outcome.

Focusing on colour, I have produced some digital visuals. The first and last images are simple, loose sketches of different environments - the first, biophilic design within the kitchen and the last, the incorporation of a plant within a bathroom. The second and third images are connected line drawings, one in a hallway and another again in a kitchen. Producing these drawings allowed me to focus on the detail of different rooms within our homes, whilst being able to highlight the role a plant/s would play when placed within them. These visuals also allowed me to focus on different shades and tones of colour - colour is a basic but hugely important element where focusing on a potential outcome. Biophilic design in this way, evidently brings a further benefit where being visually appealing and pleasant to be around.
